Has a leaning problem that worsens over time.

Since this is my first gaming chair I've bought. I figured to try something relatively cheap to dip my feet in the water and get a feel for what I'd be looking for in the future. Assembly was pretty easy to follow, I would highly recommend another person to help though. You will struggle if you do it on your own only because you need someone to hold the chair pieces in the right position, while you screw the parts in. It was relatively comfy once fully assembled I'll admit that.ComfortThe mesh does help keep you cool, and the leather feels nice. the arm rest padding is pretty comfy, but it could be a little more thicker. Also, if you rest just your elbows on them they are not really comfy. The chair is a little soft at first, and your first few months will be really great. Unfortunately, over the months it becomes more firm, maybe a little too firm because after about 3+ hours gaming, your butt/thigh starts to hurt. It is pretty comfy leaning back on it for the first few months, but at about the 1 year mark the chair loses its ability to hold upright, even after tightening the screws. The moment I would sit down and relax on the chair it would start to lean back even with the no lean rod placed. This develops a pretty obvious unhealthy back posture of course.Notable mentionsIf you lean all the way back, and go just beyond that, you will lose your balance so be careful with that. This has happened to me only twice, so it wasn't anything too concerning. Also the gas has had zero problems whatsoever so I'm impressed with that. The most wear and tear you will get is the leaning problem. I only emphasize this because my chair actually broke on me for leaning back on it for too long of a stretch. The last week I was using it before it broke, I noticed that there were cracks around the screws of the right arm of my chair. I wasn't sure where those came from until just tonight I leaned back and I heard a snap and saw that the arm had cracked into two. the arm rests are literally attached to the base and the spine, so when leaning back, it stretches the arms over time, wearing it out till it breaks. As a 5'11" 220 pound guy I'm surprised the chair lasted me this long with a year and a half in. If you plan on using this chair for long periods of time I would not recommend it. But for more casual few hour sessions, it does the job. For the cheap price of just 70 bucks, you get what you pay for.Rip First Gamer Chair Oct 2019 - April 2021

Pros
  • The chair is aesthetically pleasing and complements any decor style
Cons
  • The chair's lumbar support cushion may not provide enough support for people with severe back problems
