Installed on a 2003 Toyota 4runner and connected to an AVH-210EX head unit. The power supply was connected to the car horn and grounded to the firewall. You must connect the USB cable directly to the main unit for the USB cable to work. Worked with my Android but not with the iPad. The light on the charge port was always on, even when the car was off, which was annoying. A few weeks after installation I noticed that the connectors felt hot even with the car parked and turned off overnight. A few days later the fuse blew. When it was removed, the side of the device was deformed and melted, see photo. Cheap Chinese junk.
