Good scanner BUT. (Read review)

This review is for BCD996P2 ONLY! Revain may place this review on another product. IGNORE! DO NOT BUY THIS SCANNER for use with the P25 Phase 2 SIMULCAST! You will have nothing but heartburn. For P25 Phase 1 and analog this is a good scanner. I have experience setting up a scanner and after trying unsuccessfully with TWO of this BCD996P2 model I said "NO MORE!" Save money and buy a Uniden SDS-100 or SDS-200. Especially for P25 Phase 2 SIMULCAST! I can't vouch for them working in other modes as I haven't used them for anything else. let me say again that this BCD996P2 works great for everything except SIMULCAST. especially if you use it MOBILE. Everything was fine until I became mobile.
