This is the second bed like this (XL - 50”) I have purchased for my small Great Dane (90 lbs). The zipper on the first bed broke and I had to get rid of it. The fluffy fabric on the previous bed also kept jamming the zipper during removal and replacement for washing. I appreciate that the cover CAN be removed. It’s just more difficult than it should be due to the fabric and zipper itself. HOWEVER, my dog was so excited when she saw it that she ran directly to it and curled right up. I guess I will have to always have one of these beds!
