This is a well built, accurate thermometer. I mainly use it for grilling steaks, salmon and chicken. It is very easy to use, you just twist the thermometer wire and the device turns on. It also has an auto power off feature that saves battery life. The thermometer provides temperature readings in both Celsius and Fahrenheit and also has a hold button that locks the temperature so you can see what your temperature is after removing the thermometer from the meat. It also has a light button that illuminates the LCD with a bright orange backlight so you can see the temperature even in the dark. The black part of the thermometer is made of soft rubberized plastic and looks very high quality. The hole in the handle allows you to hang the thermometer on the hooks in the grill. And they even include a plastic coin so you can open the battery door; it's a nice touch. The overall construction appears to be of a higher quality than other similar thermometers I have purchased in the past.
