For 6 years I rolled Michelin X-Ice North (the very first one), changed to IG55 (215/55/R17). The first impression: the spikes are radically different, in Michelin they clumsily stick out like blunt nails from a board, in Yokohama the spikes are really in the form of a shuriken (just a work of art), they stick out in the nests very neatly, but they protrude relatively shallow, which raises questions about their effectiveness. For 3000 km, so far not a single spike has fallen out, they say the IG35 began to fall out almost from the first day. On cold asphalt, rolled snow, uncleaned snow-covered track, cleaned and filled with reagents, the rubber does not raise any questions, it steers well (there is no feeling of "jelly") and slows down predictably. I traveled intercity up to 180 km / h, everything is ok. But in deep snow porridge I constantly catch unpredictable lateral drift (well, or I forgot how to ride since last winter). The sound from the spikes is quiet (although I suspect this is because they stick out shallowly). At -30°C, after a long parking, the tires do not freeze, we have not had any lower yet.
