Review on πŸ“± Wrist Band Forearm Cell Phone Holder Bag, Riding Wristband Pouch with Key Card Cash Holder for Cycling, Jogging, Exercise, for Smartphones Up to 6 Inches by Amy Mears

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Velcro is too thin.

The velcro on this forearm strap is very thin and not very strong, kept bouncing and had to be reapplied (mountaineering). To use it further I sewed some of my "industrial strength" Velcro. If I placed it on the "outside" of my forearm, I felt the need to rotate it up or into my forearm to get a good view of my smartphone because it would be at an odd angle. On top of that, there's sort of a polarization conflict between the plastic window and my sunglasses (I prefer non-polarized glasses for exactly this problem, but I didn't have a choice). Colors get weird from different angles. It seems to work quite well with my smartphone. Update: Still using for hiking a year later. I replaced the velcro with an extreme velcro. It was stiff at the wrist strap so it popped out and got stuck at the end so I added a button closure (general). I replaced the window plastic with a more polarized, goggle-friendly plastic from a cheap waterproof case/case. I added a few stitches on the left side to reduce the width of my smartphone pocket to shift it to the right (so I can see the time on my smartphone that Google (Android) shifted all the way to the left. I would have preferred if there wasn't a plastic window), but experiments have shown that there must be some kind of structure holding the phone in the pocket. Please note that sometimes some water got into the bag and fogged up the window. I also had to replace the zippers because they broke. Another interesting note is that the bag is so spacious that I can place a charging box with a short USB cable at a 90 degree angle behind my phone so I can charge it on the go when my phone runs out of power, which is very likely with GPS navigation applications.

Pros
  • Durable finish
Cons
  • Damaged
