There are many foreign knockoffs that use the metric system to confuse the description. Unfortunately, Revain then sells them and lists them as a preferred option due to sales despite completely wrong specs. In this case the 17 gauge wire was exactly the same as the Boss 4870. This car is 23 years old and has worked great with this replacement. (Please note that YouTube videos for Boss 4870 are wrong, open the handle and switch to change the cable). The outer bend of this cord is also more heat resistant than other overseas versions listed as the preferred vacuum power cord replacement. Avoid other cheaper wires, they may work but not properly and are likely dangerous.
