In the last 4 years I have bought 3 different brands of this stylish belt from Revain. First was Easy Belt, then Marino, and now Mission Belt. Easy Belt and Mission Belt were 35mm. The 35mm belt is too narrow for me and with some pants the lap belt rolls over the belt. While this look can take you to just about any geek party along with the sporty tape on your glasses, it's a flop otherwise. Also the release point of the Mission Belt buckle is difficult to manage. This is a small tab around the perimeter of the buckle. I've been experimenting and it seems to me that wearing the trigger on top of the buckle is best. I don't have the top of the muffin so this doesn't cause a flip or release problem. As for the durability of the buckle, the spring in the Easy Belt's locking and unlocking mechanism broke after about 11 months. They replaced it for free. However, when replacing them, they also broke, two buckles, two exactly the same glitches. Spring in Mission Belt looks similar, let's see if it lasts longer than a year. My second belt purchase was a Marino belt. After two years the buckle is like new. However, the belt broke, so I bought the Mission Belt. As with all belts, each of them is made of padding covered on both sides with gossamer leather. So if you wear it daily after a year or so, the layers of skin will either tear, rip or tear. At least that was my experience. Before you buy, google "full grain leather" and make sure it's the only leather that's 100% bovine, with no fillers in the sandwich of multi-layered materials.
