Review on Flattening Cutting Diameter Surface Woodworking by Jerry Olson

I bought this to machine a scrap MDF board from my CNC router. I put it in the cartridge and secured it. I programmed the fly cut to remove 0.5mm in 0.25mm increments at a feed rate of 400mm/min. Very slow conservative incision. I have used this machine many times and have had to clean the surface before cutting some precision antennas. The bit hit the MDF and ripped my whole car apart. It is not clear how this happened. I looked and the entrance seemed clear and it started cutting - about 2 inches - and it failed miserably. It is not clear if this carbide shank insert was simply bent by resonance. it is dangerous and can completely destroy your car - be careful!
