I was so excited to use this product - I'm a 38 year old woman with long thick hair and drying it is always a pain. I've been styling my hair for about about now 25 years, so I've developed some decent skills and used A LOT of different products. This is the worst hair styling product I have ever bought! I don't usually write bad reviews about a product, but I haven't seen anything in the description that says something like "Don't use the small barrels of this product on long hair!" which would be very helpful. Yesterday I used the 1 3/8" and 2 1/8" combs on mostly dry hair. my precious dear strands from the VALVE of these DEMONS! I didn't wrap my hair very tightly around the shaft, but I didn't take these off AT ALL! I tried to be as gentle as possible but ended up with a handful of hair in my hand after FINALLY managing to free myself. It was so hard that I seriously considered CUTTING THE RIVETS! NIGHTMARE! Thank goodness I only put two pieces on my hair! Otherwise I would have had a pixie cut today! I've thought a lot about this experience and really don't think it was user error. I've styled my hair with similar products before and never had this problem. They are probably well suited to short/short hair owners. If you have long and thick hair like me, I sincerely advise you to stay away from this product. One star because there is no mention of it being unsuitable (to put it mildly) for long hair. Or let me say long hair, use this product if you desire shorter hair.
