Learning can be fun
Those math cubes in the pocket had very good ideas that students can use to get started right away. Instead of training and killing, the games are challenging and fun. Students are almost unaware that they are practicing numeracy skills. Every class should have some of these, as should parents of math students. I'm a teacher in Kansas City. This makes learning interesting for everyone. The joy of "victory" should not be underestimated.
