As I wanted to give my tether tool constant power and not fry my D850, I tested several other adapters/converters before settling on this one. The measured output voltage of 5V was stable and worked great. for my astrophotographic setup. I can externally power my camera, lens condensation/dew heater and keep my phone charged for hours with it and a hefty 12 volt gel battery. isolated on non-contacting surfaces.
