Great for a seamstress. The extra thickness (6.5 mils) really helps prevent tearing. I've worn them for tile grouting, car work, gardening and even washing dishes and have never ripped them like I used to with my old standard latex exam gloves (3-4.5 mils). Joint compound and sealer don't rub off with fingertips (keeps your skin safe!). They're thinner than regular dishwashing gloves but have the feel of exam gloves, so you can do great jobs like smoothing out grout, picking up small nails, or cooking. You can even use your smartphone while wearing them. I now wear them with or without leather gloves when gardening, house repairs and car maintenance; and I no longer have small cuts on my hands, grease under my nails and hands that smell of petrol/oil!
