Review on Silence Your Space: Stripping Windows Self Adhesive Soundproof Insulation by Nick Mcvey

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Really sweet; easy to install; Works

I really like these. They stick well (make sure the surface is clean and dry). I didn't even clean mine very well and still stayed in place. Prevents the door from banging sideways (wood against wood). Be careful if the gap is too narrow - the door/window won't close! All of our doors are different and slightly warped: on some doors, for example, I was only able to use less than half the length: I kept trying to see where I could comfortably close the door and it didn't jam / buckle anywhere. After several uses, you will understand how best to stretch the film that protects the adhesive part. I aligned the tape with the protective film where I wanted it first. He held it with one hand and tugged at the film with the other: That means it wasn't sticking, but on the edges of the door. It helps with the sound a bit - not much, but better than nothing. It is excellent for large gaps: 1/4" to 0.5".
