I need to connect my digital piano (with MIDI USB-B) to iPad Pro (USB-C). This cable works and the added bonus is it also works on Yamaha apps Rec'n'Share without the expensive Apple camera adaptor.You can see from the video I posted that the piano and iPad Pro's piano apps communicate without any issue. Sound from iPad is sent to the piano speaker and the keyboard command (key I pressed) is sent to the iPad. This is perfect for my setup. However, due to the MIDI port only sending digital data and voice - the iPad is not being charged. This is not the fault of the cable but due to the inherent design of the MIDI port.Braided and very flexible. Quality and workmanship is good. What else can we ask for a cable? I can recommend this cable if you need a printer/MIDI instrument with USB-B and need to connect to a device with a USB-C port.
