This is a great idea but they do not come with the same length velcro and adhesive and you will need to apply velcro to the item to secure it and some modifications may be required. The glue could have been better, it didn't want to stick properly to the back of my car's dashboard and I had to super glue it to keep it from coming loose. This works better if you have a pole or something to wrap it around, but if you're attaching it to a non-fabric panel and need to use glue, it's not great or no attachment, that's worked great on my other car with fabric panels is working. , no need for glues, just attach the object you want to attach to the plate and attach the hard plastic velcro to the plate and it will sit securely. So it's a good option for cloth carriers or crash bars, and with mods you can make it work with plastic panels. Overall a great alternative to screw caps.
