I never paid attention to the actual K value so after I installed them on my Jeep Wrangler. (PITA vs. GM truck. Just saying). and after giving them a test drive tonight I decided to read the back of the box. And judging by the chart they're around 3500K (why not just say 3500K?), which is technically whiter than the standard 3100K (? +/-). However, they are not as brilliantly white as one could easily get used to. Rather, it's the difference between a dirty headlight and a clean headlight. This is such a difference from the standard bulbs I had. So they are an improvement. and since they sold for $25 (about half the price of the brightest Sylvania bulb), I can't say they fall short, but I'm ashamed I didn't give them more attention before ordering. I can just replace them and put them in a box in case someone dies prematurely. Definitely better than the standard $25 bulbs. But if you pay more, you just pay extra and get a higher K rating. You just keep looking.
