Review on πŸ”ͺ WEN BB7250 Woodcutting Bandsaw Blade: Optimize Precision and Power by Edwin Kreps

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Manufacturing defect that causes the blade to move back more than 1/16 " around the weld point

I bought this 1/2" wide blade to replace an older, blunter blade on my 10" WEN - Bandsaw to replace. After installing the blade, adjusting the tension, centering the deepest part of the neck in the middle of the wheel, and setting the top and bottom guides perfectly, I found the blade moved back somewhere between 1/16" and 1/ 8th". "At a specific point near the weld. This led me to believe it was either a defect in the blade or perhaps misalignment of my wheels. If all my other blades have this back drift then that would be the problem but i put 3 old saw blades in my saw and made sure that there is absolutely no drift either forwards or backwards, all my old saw blades ran perfectly smooth and as the offset of this latest saw blade was too big (and only at the joint) , This is clearly a manufacturing defect on the blade, the only reason this isn't a 1 star rating is that at least I got the blade, albeit unusable if it's just bad luck or poor quality control with this blade I will be Happy to update my feedback if I make a successful exchange or refund I am a big fan of WEN product and haven't had any problems so far.
