Technically it works but the design is very flawed. I expected to be able to easily attach it to the shaft of a club in my bag or to another part of my golf bag. No dice - if you try you can break the plastic clamp tube, which opens wide enough to fit the rubber insert. Since I don't have a leveling rod, I found a solution to attach a tube/clip to a bamboo garden post that I could fit in my pocket. Not very elegant but functional enough I think. Check out my photo which has my phone unplugged as I needed my phone to take the photo! Sample photos of the device attached to a golf cart or shopping cart are counterintuitive as I think you'll break it if you try this approach.
