Out of the box the cranks for moving the xy plane were terrible, ranging from heavy to very heavy. There was also a lot of dirty oil on the sliding surfaces on which the sections move. However, it was only necessary to loosen the two hex head screws that clamp the handle next to the vise. I also cleaned and oiled the flat surfaces and they are now as smooth as can be, with one hand it's easy to install the vise. The hexagon screws were simply moved to the side at the factory and thus rubbed on the internal thread. Now I leave these hex screws relatively loose. HTN.
