This is a completely revised overview. I previously gave it a 1 star rating and realized it's just cheaper crappy Chinese crap! AND BUY SOMETHING ELSE! I've since applied for the position of Chief Idiot of the Village! Wow, I was wrong! After writing this review I was looking for another similar type of kitchen timer. That being said, I looked at the reviews of other models and found that in one of the reviews a reviewer said that probably some of the poor reviews on this timer are due to the reviewer leaving the timer on for 60 minutes and then not turning the back on . until the right time and what it took for the bell to ring. And I figured you weren't thinking. and it turned out that was exactly the problem I was having with this timer! When I cranked it up to 60 minutes and then back down to 5 minutes and let go! the alarm went off and I must add it sounded so loud that it was easy to hear from three or four rooms! AND I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS TIMER!
