good quality, not faded black and not bright pink. I love all things camouflage, so. The stretcher is in very good condition after putting everything in the washing machine. I don't know if it was designed for such washing, but I was in a situation where I either washed it or threw it away (the cat had an accident). Washes well, holds up, no damage and no odor. BUT I'm not sure if cats like this type of carrier. It tends to fold up a bit depending on how you sit on it (ours wasn't exactly flat in the back seat of a car that's tilted down), which I think would startle a cat more than a dog. This is a soft medium and is to be expected to an extent, so I didn't deduct any stars as I really think this is quality medium for the $. You know what you're buying, I haven't fully thought about it. I really tried to avoid those big hard plastic carriers (bulky and ugly) but maybe better for a cat that doesn't like being cooped up.
