Review on SUPCASE Ultra Thin Desktop Notebook Security by Scott Ramu

A risk taken. And they work great

I have no idea why another reviewer couldn't install them let alone bend them. They are stamped from rigid plastic, not flimsy or brittle. The only difficulty with installation is that the manufacturer doesn't orient the sliders the same way before applying the adhesive, so you'll need to determine which way they open before placing them on your device. Since the sliding cover sits on top of the window frame layer and not in it, its edges are not protected when your device fits in your pocket. However, the synthetic carbon fiber texture offers a good grip on the fingertips, and the red dot serves as a nice reminder when the lid is open. Doesn't interfere with closing entire Macbooks. Leaves a flat impression on the suede of the Apple iPad Smart Keyboard, but does not disturb it. Probably not ideal for frameless iPhones (X and above). Pre-iPhone X users should note that the front camera is to the left of the speaker hole, and they'll likely want to rotate the cover so it slides to the left.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Slightly torn
