At the time of purchase I had an iPhone 8 Plus with a bulky protective case. It is true as most reviews say that the charger does not stay on when your phone has a case and when it does it is loose and can easily fall off when moving. A week later I upgraded to an iPhone 12 Pro Max, the charger doesn't seem to pair with this phone even though it has a protective case. Since it doesn't fall off on this phone, I'll leave the charger. don't feel cheap. Worth buying, be aware if your phone has a bulky case. The protective case for my iPhone 8 Plus was one of those waterproof ones, obviously not flimsy.
