There are hundreds of different paper cutters on the market and both the slicer and guillotine versions have their place in the workshop. Tim Holtz's guillotine is my favorite for this type, and Cricut's portable trimmer is my pick for the slicer model. With a ruler running the length of the trimmer, I can lift it up, set the blade anywhere I like, then close it and make partial cuts in the side. This is so important when you're making a lot of fun cards. The price is amazing and it's easy to get replacement blades for future products. The price is really the opposite of its value and makes so many card folds possible. Replaceable blades are always sharp and comfortable. I make sure all my spare blades are available when needed.
