Review on Zavor Quart Programmable Electric Multi Cooker Kitchen & Dining by Aaron Romero

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Very good alternative and powerful upgrade for Instant Pot users!

I already have several multi cookers that I've been using for years, but I really like this more reliable Zavor update! So far in the 3 months that I've owned this Zavor device I've recreated all the recipes I used to make in my Instant Pots - all with great success. What I really like about this Zavor Lux Over Instant Pot is that it's very easy to secure the lid with a perfect seal. With both of my Instant Pots, I always had to monitor the pressure to make sure steam wasn't escaping under the lid, and often had to readjust the sliding o-rings - even new replacement rings. So far nothing like that with Zavor! The Zavor's LCD screen and controls are a bit complicated at first, and not nearly as intuitive as the Instant Pot's controls. However, the Zavor has more options and features than the Instant Pot, so this LCD layout might be the best compromise after all. However, I do miss the separate saute function (good for softening veggies to use as a base for soups). Yes, you can set up a roast program using the Flexi feature, but it was a lot easier to just press the button that said "Roast" on the Instant Pot. The main reason I'm giving this a 4 instead of a 5 is the removable stainless steel pot lid, which isn't that rustproof after all! After only three months of use, tiny rust spots will appear, which are not easy to polish. The stainless steel liners that came with my Instant Pots are still not rusting after four years - apparently they were made from a higher quality stainless steel than what Zavor chose.
