I've been using these for years and they hold up very well. In fact, these are the only kitchen towels I use now. I especially like their size, they don't shrink in the dryer and don't deform. They fold neatly and still fold well after several years. I don't have any of the absorbency issues that other reviewers have mentioned as they get softer and therefore more absorbent after washing. Even if you're not used to using flour sack cloths, they take a bit of getting used to. Give them a few months and see if you like them. The biggest benefit of flour sack towels is that they leave no lint when dried. they are warm. I've also used them to dust small appliances. Towels fade after washing hence I only give 4 stars. (I originally bought them with the intention of making pillowcases out of them, but my ambitions were too high. Which actually worked out well because they shed a lot with washing.) But they don't keep fading. with every wash. I have some that are almost ten years old and still look good. I wish they were cheaper as the price per towel is a bit high but they last a long time and hold up well which is so rare with products that are made larger. I buy a new set every few years but have never taken the old ones off. i really love her
