This is the first time I've bought a bike lamp like this as I've recently started riding again after many years. When driving on dark roads or sidewalks and there is no light from stars, moon, street lamps etc. the front light illuminates my way very well, I am more than adequate. The rear round little headlight also shines well, although it's nowhere near as bright as the front headlight and isn't designed for its size or purpose. A car's tail light or brake light are different purposes/functions. Both the front and rear lights were charged, so the light stayed nice and bright for at least a week with multiple uses. I just charged it last night - and although some of the charge was discharged and recharged overnight it was still light, but I'm recharging it anyway. The design allows you to quickly remove / extend the front light when boarding. somewhere it won't be stolen and can be quickly/easily put back on when needed. The front light connects securely to the handlebars, but the little piece of rubber on the tail light and the way it latches doesn't look as secure as I would like to attach a small piece of string around the seat post and tail light If the rubber tab comes off - but that hasn't happened yet. Overall I am happy with the 2 piece front light and tail light kit and do not regret my purchase and think it illuminates the road/sidewalk/parking lots etc more than adequately.
