Review on Eastman 41033 Stainless Icemaker Connector by Antonio Parson

I installed this on the fridge as a water source for the water dispenser and ice maker. I gave it a quick wash with running water before installing it, but didn't try to wash it with anything. There was an error. It's been a few days and the water still has a bad taste. I installed a new water filter. I washed it off with a few liters of water but the bad taste stayed. If the water doesn't taste decent anytime soon, I'll probably have to uninstall, clean, and reinstall to see if that helps. As far as cleaning goes, everything that is used has to go into the tube. Using soap is not recommended, but rinsing it out thoroughly can work. Or maybe I should soak it in baking soda. If anyone has had a similar experience and found a solution, please post. If I delete and clean up I will update my review. UPDATE: Someone (I think the seller) suggested that vinegar would solve the bad taste problem. So I remove the lead and put it in a pan with a 50% vinegar solution. I made sure the vinegar got into the line and left it there for 4 hours. Then I rinsed it thoroughly and put it in the water outlet of the fridge. A few days later I drained several liters of water through the pipe again, but STILL BAD TASTE! I could try baking soda or maybe give up and buy another brand.
