Between my sister, two previous roommates and one I just bought, I've used four of this exact size and model. I want it like it because it has some great features (clip lid, small vent, oval shape, detachable jug) but it has a serious temperature issue it was so hot outside you couldn't touch it according to crock-pot.com it lasts 3- 4 hours for a slow cooker to heat to 209 degrees on high The remaining goodies in the braising liquid had to be cooked on the stovetop It just shouldn't have happened The other three I used had it and the same problem when it's very, very hot outside. My sister burned the bottom of the chili an inch deep. around and along the bottom in five hours. It looks like like they mislabeled the high and low settings on the machine. So two that seemed normal to the previous roommates (aside from looking extremely hot), and two others that didn't seem okay. Looks like a 50% chance you'll get Dud.
