We needed some additional dog beds while we boarded our dogs for travel. This one has a removable cover with a non-skid bottom and a soft plush top. The inside foam is a medium dense egg crates style foam padding. It’s not as firm as I expected but that’s OK it still works nonetheless. We have a 50 pound dog and an 80 pound dog and I got a large and an extra large. I almost should’ve gotten two extra large Just because of the size and they could stretch out a little better. So if you have something like a wheaten, poodle, a Portuguese water dog, you may want to go with the extra-large even if they’re 50 pounds and under. Love the choices of color. We got the dark gray. Easy to remove the cover which was important for us would buy again. We have a one-year-old dog and a 13 year old dog and it seems suitable for both.
