Review on Lasko M12900 Oscillating 12 inch Wall Mount Fan: Powerful Indoor Cooling in Light Grey by Roberta Berg

Very light construction

If I were to carry this fan on my back I would be very impressed with the amount of effort that went into limiting the weight of this thing. When it arrived I thought the box was empty. After opening, I regretted that it was not. Worse, during assembly you'll find that the nut holding the blade isn't even threaded (yes, I know they're usually reverse-threaded). This is a push towards an interference landing. The guards are so thin that both came broken. So thin plastic, I don't know if you could install them without breaking them. Because the blade isn't securely attached, it works for a minute before it starts to wobble. When I stopped the fan, I noticed that the "nut" was loose and the blades were almost loose. There is no excuse for producing such garbage! After learning this lesson, I found several fans for the same price that were made with metal guards and real hardware. Spend some time shopping before you buy your next fan!

Pros
  • Same as everything before
Cons
  • Anything I can add?
