I just bought one and then a week later because I wanted to make sure my cats would love to sleep in it. Well after the first one arrived it took about 2 days for one of my cats to jump in and sleep for about 3 hours. Now that the first cat likes it, the second cat is interested too. So I decided to get another one. Now there is cat #3 who shows no interest and even if she does I'm sure 2 beds will still be enough. One thing I should mention is that someone suggested putting your own scent in the bed for a while, maybe with a blanket you use or a piece of clothing just to get rid of the "new" smell . Haven't tried washing them yet but I'm sure everything should be fine if you follow the instructions.
