Review on Dee Zee DZ43102 Tailgate Assist by Justin Torres

I bought this so I could lower the tailgate on my truck with one hand without subjecting the tethers to constant shock loads. (My neighbor had a broken wire and damage to the body made the purchase decision easy). Others have mentioned that installing Nutcert is tedious, but I had the Nutert installer tool [https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01JBNNJ3Q] handy which made this install very, very easy. I've used it before - I was loaded with about 100# tools (contractor-sized duffel bag of Makita tools) and I had to open the back door without lowering the tools (it was raining and I was standing in the water). Open the tailgate and release it. It descends halfway, then the impact slows it to a gentle stop. I wish I had done that sooner. I'll update after I've had it for a while and post my pros and cons.
