Worth the cost. unless.

If you're looking for something that will plug into the old-style 1/8" phono cable and if you're not concerned about high-quality audio, and if you listen gently with them -- they'll work fine.Unfortunately, they didn't last quite a month with my teenagers. That's not a completely negative remark about the headphones themselves, but the crossover wiring wore and broke from being regularly taken off and stowed in their book bags every few hours.US$15 is totally reasonable. But extrapolating the cost, it becomes US$180/yr.So I'll be looking for something that's sufficiently robust and tolerant of teenagers and that aren't bluetooth; bluetooth isn't permitted by the district for school use, so we'll seek a 1940-era solution.

Pros
  • Can be used by kids of all ages
Cons
  • May cause hair to get tangled in the ear cushions
