I am so picky about cutlery that it took me several months to finally settle on this pair of knives and the chef's knife to match. This twin knife looks fantastic and is very sharp. The processing of handle and blade is perfect. There are no protruding defects along the shank or rivets. The wooden handle feels solid and feels good in the hand, making it easier to work with the details. I was concerned about the Damascus property because acid etch "Damascus" is very common but too obviously a fake. This Damascus is real and you can tell immediately. The pair's knife also looks perfect next to the chef's knife. I was concerned there would be some difference in finish or quality between the two knives as they were not sold or purchased as a set but rather side by side, you never know. You look perfect. I have used this knife a few times a week for about two months and it is as sharp as it arrived, the handle looks and feels the same. After several months of research I am confident that I have purchased the perfect knife for this budget.
