Reason for return: - Cannot burn CDA audio CD on Lenovo laptop - Error message pops up about 30 seconds after the start of the burn cycle. Tested to confirm the problem is with the CD and not the computer.1. Used by MsConfig to stop all unnecessary programs and services. Used by media player to record software3. Set recording to lowest speed - 4x error message 30 seconds after recording4. Download the proven CDBurnerXP software (https://cdburnerxp.se/en/home) and follow steps 1 to 3 above. Error message 30 seconds after recording 5. Bought Maxell CD R 5 packs at local pharmacy. - Steps 1 to 3 completed - Recording was successful. - Finished recording of all 5 CD6s. Tested from Sony CD R in local library on desktop with media player. - Registration was successful. Conclusion: Blank Sony CD-Rs have a marginal writing capacity. A laptop CD burner may not have as powerful a laser as a desktop unit and this could explain my results. Most likely the dye used to create the 'pits' will require a bit more laser power to burn through successfully. The Lenovo laptop has previously (for the past two years) been used to burn CDs, both data and CDA, with no problems. I can't remember what brand of CD R was used. A blank CD-R purchased from a local drug store worked perfectly, excluding hardware or operator errors.
