Review on πŸ”Š Pair of 30-Inch Steel Foundations Speaker Stands by Sanus SF30-B1 by Pete Norris

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Solid, heavy and beautifully powder coated

Other reviews do a good job of giving these speaker stands a positive mention. They are heavier and look and feel more solid than online. In fact, I would give these stands 6 stars if I could. I was planning on filling them with sand but they are so heavy I honestly don't see the need. The exterior finish is nice and the overall look is very much in line with my system (whatever that means. I've had my eye on the stands for a long time and it exceeds my expectations). A previous reviewer noted the difficulty in aligning the top and bottom plates, and he's right - his advice to lay them flat before tightening the screws was good advice. I'd add: lay everything out on a workbench or countertop and individually tighten each of the four screws. Then, with the stand on the side, gradually tighten each screw as if you were changing a tire on your car and everything will line up perfectly. Make sure you have a good quality Phillips screwdriver handy so you can tighten the screws. to the ground before adding/tightening the mounting screw. There are 2 different sets of legs, not 8 identical ones (I didn't realize that at first). Which leads to the attached instructions: They aren't as terrible as some describe in other reviews, but they do need help. and another photo or two and maybe a few tips from a reviewer at Revain. In my case, childhood of assembling plastic models benefited me :-)
