Don't buy if you want waterproof protection

I loved this mattress pad when I put it on a crib. It fit well on the mattress and felt softer than those rough covers. I've washed it in the car and hung it out to dry and it's held up well. But when my child first wet the bed at night, this cover did not protect the new mattress. It passed near the edge of the lid and down along the edge. Here's the new mattress. If you require witness protection, this is not the coverage option.
