This is a very good radio for the price. Pros: Brings shortwave radio stations that other portable radios can't pick up, even with their short antenna. I compared the transmitter with the Grundig 350. AM-FM reception is good. A lightweight. Charging the handle (nice to have) is only possible in an emergency. See cons below. USB charging is a great feature. LED lights are another great feature. However, I use an LED headband light for nighttime use. Cons: Very difficult to turn volume and volume controls. It takes a very sensitive touch to tune individual frequencies close together. You can step through multiple stations with just a swipe of your finger. Lots of work to charge the batteries for optimal usage time. I almost have to bake my radio in the sun to take advantage of solar charging. Agree with the previous comment that you can see the circuit board when you open the LED light cover. This calls into question stability in a humid outdoor environment. Conclusion: Despite the disadvantages, this radio is a good investment.
