Review on Burt's Bees BB Cream SPF 15, Light: Complete Review and Buying Guide (1.7 Oz) by Andrea Taylor

Let me just say I spent HOURS looking at various BB creams, tinted moisturizers etc before I settled on Burts Bees BB- cream. The ingredients, the availability and the positive user reviews on Amazon convinced me to buy it. My goals for the BB cream were to make my morning makeup easier. I have combination skin, very sensitive, and I needed something that could hide minor imperfections and redness and even out my skin in general. Foundations make me look very washed out and I don't have time for all the layers that come with concealer, foundation, bronzer, highlighter, blush and so on. Pooh. I took heed of the reviews that said the shade should be darker than normal - I usually use light/medium and I went for medium - and I'm very glad I did. I first applied a little to the back of my hand and was concerned because it looked a lot darker than I expected and seemed quite greasy. Until I put it on my face. Hello, evens out my skin tone without completely taking away my healthy color. Goodbye red. This made it much lighter and more natural for my skin tone. What I thought was oily ended up absorbing well into my skin leaving a nice natural finish. I've noticed that there seems to be a bit of a lot - the areas where I repeated the coverage (coincidentally I apply with my hands and I'm not a makeup guru) seemed to have more coverage than where I did applied a layer. I apply it on a cloudy non-shower day and my normally rebellious skin is very happy with it. I paired this with Burt's Bee Mascara and achieved the goal of "enhancing my natural beauty without looking too tight". Update a year later: still love, still use! I always use it after moisturizer (Dr Jarts Tiger Herb) and maybe that's why I don't have the problems with pores and fine lines that some mention. It's hard to find cosmetics that can be used without all sorts of no-no chemicals, and Bert's bees have been the best I've found for my skin and wallet.
