Are these the softest linen blend pants I've ever worn? No. But they are very comfortable to wear during the summer months both indoors at the office and outside, and price isn't bad. I'm sure they will soften up as I wear them more. I'm 5'3", wear a sz 4 and have a 30in inseam, and the small was a perfect fit. The hem falls right at the tops of my feet when pulled all the way up to wear them high waisted at my natural waist. They can be worn lower, but I'd recommend adding wedges or low heels so that the hem doesn't drag on the ground. If you want a looser fit or have more curves, you might want to size up though since these are still a slimmer fit although they are relaxed around my legs. So far I have only hung them to dry and haven't had any skrinkage, but I will avoid putting them in a dryer, since other reviews mentioned major shrinkage.
