Review on Universal Tabletop Stand Base Adjustable by Adam Tidd

I really don't understand this product and why people are buying it. I needed a tv stand to elevate my 47" tv a bit (I figured the 10" at least at the bottom), I built it at the highest point and it's about 3" from the bottom. I left my standard TV feet installed to show how ridiculous this is. If I used the lower height in the "height adjustable" options, the bottom of the TV would literally stick to the stand. Not sure how it looks on a 55 inch TV. I'm wondering if it doesn't make a difference with the TV stands that come standard with every TV then why buy this $50 thing?!
