Review on Fujifilm X100V Camera Case Camera & Photo and Accessories by Jay Buford

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Well made, fits the X100V perfectly

I've always liked the half case for my cameras so when I bought the X100V I got the only case available that Fuji sells. It's actually pretty good, provided you use the rings in the lugs, as the case's "ears" rising above the lugs are the only thing holding the case in place. My hand strap has a small screw loop through the eyelet on one side, so there is nothing to hold on to the ears and it slips off. I bought half a Gariz for my X100F, it's excellent if pricey. Since Gariz wasn't available for the X100V yet, I looked for it and found it and I'm very happy with it. For about half the price of Gariz, he does the same. It is mounted from below via a tripod thread and has a flap for changing the battery or memory card without removing the housing. You can still mount the camera on a tripod by removing the housing. Fit and finish are excellent. My only complaint, and it's a very small one, is that all but the brown cases have "accent" threads, which I don't think looks very good. I would have preferred a plain black case but bought brown to avoid the white thread. Otherwise I think it's a great case and a good buy.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Periodicity
