Bought at a great price in cold weather and just installed. I haven't tested the water resistance yet, although it rained 3 days in a row, so I'll let you know if there are any issues. Ease of installation is entirely dependent on how messy your boat's current wiring is. I had it pretty bad, but definitely not the subject's fault. It came with speaker cables which I didn't expect which was nice. The sound quality is not bad, but nothing special either. Good for listening to music at a normal volume while relaxing. I'm pretty sure I won't hear anything when the engine is running, but haven't tried it yet. Overall I'm happy with it, I just wish the display was MUCH better. When the sun is out (which is most likely to be the case on a boat), it's hard to see and you have to cover it with both hands to read anything.
