Holy Molybdenum. So just prior to this purchase I bought a much smaller turntable (I would say probably a full size turntable) which was really great but considerably cheaper as I wanted to try vinyl first. It wasn't even set up in a few days before I gave it to a friend and found this one to replace! It's quite large, so think about the space you'll need for speakers in addition to the turntable box. The wood finish looks a lot nicer than the photos in the listing, I was expecting a bit more of a laminate effect but it's not (I'll try to update this with real light photos). It's a small investment, but honestly worth it to me - and it's in the range (or even cheaper!) of name brand turntables, with the same sound quality, great looks that will definitely be a conversation starter, and for less money . If you've tried a beginner turntable or know you want to start collecting vinyl, this is the way to go! Another note: since it doesn't have dust on it, be sure to have a vinyl cloth handy to wipe it down. Fan the records before playing to prevent the stylus from rolling away due to dust and lint buildup. Thanks to another turntable for letting me know I love vinyl and discovered this turntable which is way prettier and sounds way better!
