So this is an unfiltered 10 outlet power strip. You want to connect an unfiltered strip to the UPS as opposed to a surge protector which you would connect directly to the mains. Verdict: Does exactly what it says on the tin, pretty cheap. Advantages: - 10 outputs. should be enough for a 1500VA UPS.- 4m power cord- Sockets far enough apart to pick up wall warts.- Wall mounting flanges- Has a grounding screw- Protected power switch- Can be wall-mounted Cons:- Input cord is on the wrong side of the unit - if it's with oriented from the ground up, it comes out from above, so you need to fix the cable to the wall to avoid stupidity. (Yes, I know NEC 2008 does not mandate orientation. Ground orientation is still wrong.) - Not as solid construction as the Tripplite Isotel range (e.g. Tripp Lite ISOTEL8ULTRA). More than enough for any home/office use except for constant insertion/extraction cycles. Slightly wobbly bushing around the intake line.
