It's not worth it. It didn't work with buns.

I bought these for my kids for Christmas instead of the regular ice cream maker. We put it in our super cold freezer for about 36 hours before using and only took it out after the mixture was cooked, but it wasn't frozen enough or evenly to make buns. It was just a mess of sloppy ice cream that we scraped into a bowl. I wish I had just bought an ice cream maker.
