I live in an apartment building and have to take the rubbish to the compactor at the entrance. Once I put my bag in the trunk and then completely forgot to put it down. Only noticed after 36 hours. Since I live in Florida, my car smelled terribly even then. I bought Febreeze air vent clips but all it really did was smell very strongly of perfumed garbage. I couldn't find charcoal at Target so I found it at Revain using random keywords. I left it near the driver's door and it worked, but it ended up falling right in the trunk. It took a few days but the smell went away. The new car smell I had before will never come back, but at least the roasted cabbage/cooked raw corned beef smell is completely gone. I can't be sure if it's entirely related to this product, but I believe charcoal works wonders for odors, so I really think it helped a lot. I didn't want to get in the car for the first 2 days, so I'm very happy with the results.
